With over 300 million smokers around the globe, it begs the question of how their choice to smoke cigarettes is not only affecting themselves in the short run but also long term. Short term effects include frequent cough, colds, bronchitis, as well as pneumonia. The long-term effects are much grimmer than the short term. Long term effects include but not limited to cancer of the throat, lung, and mouth.
